Bear Prairie Kennels is a family business, proudly owned and operated by Suz and Tyler Barratt. We, along with our qualified and attentive staff, offer years of extensive work with dogs as well as our own pet ownership. A comfortable and caring environment is what we strive to provide for each of our kennel guests.

Location

Located in a beautiful area of countryside known as Bear Prairie, in Washougal, WA, Bear Prairie Kennels is a great place for dogs to visit.

HOURS

Monday-Saturday: 9am-6pm

Sunday: 9am-4pm

Bear Prairie Kennels Closes For Pick Up and Drop Off on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day & christmas day.

*When visiting Bear Prairie Kennels, please be courteous to our neighbors and do not drive beyond the BPK entrance/driveway. There is no outlet at the end of our shared gravel road and we ask that kennel visitors do not trespass on our neighbor's private property. Thank you.

FACILITIES

Our built-for-dogs facility is safe, clean, and a lot of fun for dogs of all sizes. Each dog has a spacious indoor/outdoor run, and plenty of fenced play area to really burn that energy, or happily lounge in the shade of a tree. A large indoor play room also provides plenty of space for those who might not want to be out in certain weather.

All individual runs are fully enclosed to contain any potential escape artists. Dogs are never left unattended, in our large play field, so as to make sure they’re safe and having fun. Indoors, the building is temperature-controlled, to keep it cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

STAFF

Aside from being dog lovers and hard workers, each staff member is trained in Canine First Aid and CPR. Safety training is an ongoing exercise with all staff at Bear Prairie Kennels.
